[더구루=홍성일 기자] Artue, an AI-powered art platform operated by Habitus Associates, has officially entered OpenAI’s 'Apps in ChatGPT' ecosystem, introducing a new art experience that seamlessly connects artwork discovery and transactions through conversational AI interfaces.
Apps in ChatGPT enables various services to operate directly within the ChatGPT environment, allowing users to search, receive recommendations, and execute actions through natural dialogue without switching applications. This launch marks the first real-world implementation of Artue’s conversational art curation technology within a global large language model (LLM) environment.
Artue is an AI-driven art platform that provides personalized discovery experiences based on Asian contemporary art data. It currently hosts 96 galleries, 654 artists, and a total of 4,743 artworks.
With this launch, Artue has demonstrated a conversational art curation system that is not limited to a single platform, but designed to operate across multiple LLM-based interfaces. This represents the first global deployment of a conversational curation system directly connected to real, transactable artwork data.
Unlike traditional art platforms focused on keyword-based search or image browsing, Artue introduces a new approach where users express their emotions and preferences through natural conversation, and the system interprets this context to recommend relevant artworks and artists. This marks a shift from search-based discovery to understanding-driven exploration.
In addition to discovery and recommendation, Artue has built an end-to-end (E2E) art transaction structure that connects search, recommendation, purchase, payment, and delivery. This conversational commerce model enables seamless global transactions without constraints related to geography or payment methods, distinguishing Artue from conventional platforms.
To support this, Artue has established a global payment infrastructure that includes PayPal, credit cards, and USD-based stablecoin payments. This enables real-time settlement, enhanced transaction transparency, and reduced currency risk, providing a practical foundation for global collectors.
Looking ahead, Artue plans to expand its ecosystem from conversational discovery to a full-stack infrastructure encompassing transactions, payments, and financial layers. This includes gallery SaaS, collector CRM, RWA (real-world asset)-based art finance, and STO (security token offerings), positioning Artue as a next-generation infrastructure for the global art market.
"The art market in the AI era is rapidly shifting away from search-based models toward systems that understand and interpret individual taste through conversation," said Bo Young Song, CEO of Habitus Associates. "Artue is building an art discovery and transaction infrastructure that operates across multiple LLM environments, and our entry into OpenAI’s Apps in ChatGPT marks the first step in proving this vision in a live global setting."
